CURTIS HIGH SCHOOL ADVANCED PLACEMENT POLICY

All students enrolled in Advanced Placement course(s) at Curtis High School are expected to take the Advanced Placement exam(s). The 2024 exam fee is $98 per each exam.

Students who are enrolled in the Federal Free or Reduced Price Lunch Program qualify for the College Board and OSPI fee reduction on all AP Exams that they take in a given year.  

A student is eligible for free or reduced price lunches if his or her family's income is at or below 185 percent of the poverty level issued annually by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. If you meet this criteria and have not applied for "free or reduced lunches", please complete the application form immediately on the UPSD district website.

FEES and DUE DATES

Exam Fees:

         Regular Fee: $98 per exam

         Free or Reduced Lunch Fee: $0 per exam*

 

* Fee reduction is available for students who qualify for free/reduced lunch. You must apply via Skyward or by paper application. See Mr. Fletcher for more information.

 

Minimum Deposit of $40 per exam due by: November 6th, 2023 There is no deposit due for students with free/reduced lunch.

 

Final Balance Due By: April 26th, 2024

Please make checks payable to Curtis High School and turn into CHS Student Accounts, or pay online. You can make multiple payments if necessary.

 
 

REFUND POLICY

  • Full refund will be given if a student pays for an exam and cancels with Mr. Fletcher prior to November 15th, 2023.
  • A $40 per exam non-refundable fee will be assessed if a student pays for an exam and cancels after November 15th, 2023. This fee will be assessed for students with free/reduced lunch as well.
  • If a student orders an exam after November 15th, 2023 the cost of the exam is $98 plus a $40 late registration fee. Final day to order exams is March 15th, 2024.
  • Once a student begins an exam, no portion of the fee is refundable.

 
   

 

EXAM DATES

Students are required to take exams on these dates unless they have multiple exams that are scheduled for the same day and time or the reason is approved by AP Services. See Mr. Fletcher with any questions.
