"NJROTC competed in the Northwest Drill and Rifle Conference Championships this weekend at Marysville-Pilchuck.  The competition included of the 25 top schools in the conference of 47 schools that compete during the school year and the competition was fierce.  Curtis Viking Company teams competed at the highest level with Lena Gnik and Mira Shapiro taking Gold Medals for first place in Dual Unarmed Exhibition Drill.  Viking Color Guard 2 finished 4th overall and our Armed and Unarmed Drill Teams and Color Guard 1 finished in the Top Ten.  Big Shoutout to all of the Viking Company Cadets who competed!"

This weekend at Viking relays both the girls and Boys team won the team titles, together they won the combined title. We had a lot of outstanding performances. The meet record was broken by Leroy Horton in the 100 running a state leading time of 10.58. The boys 4x100 m relay broke the meet record with a time of 41.83. The 4x1 is Titus Morris, Cinque Maxwell, Andrew Shirley and Leroy Horton.  They are now the number 1 time in the state and have the new school record that was set in 1995. Andrew Shirley leaped a state number 1 in the pole vault with a jump of 15'1". Eliza White was named female outstanding performer of the meet with her performances in the Mile. She set a new meet record with a time of 5:10.  Congratulations to all the amazing performances and BIG thank you to all the staff and students that helped this weekend.

Congratulations to the Girls Water Polo Team on their 19-0 shutout over Division I Opponent, Ingraham High School.  Freshman, Gaby Lopez and junior, Jessica Frans, combined for the shutout with 6 saves on 6 attempts on cage.  Mel Graham, Lydia Pineda, and Emma Atchison each tallied a hat trick with three goals a piece and May Guidoux led the team in assists (3) and steals (4).  The team is back in action on Tuesday vs Gig Harbor.  JV 4:00pm and Varsity 5:00pm."
