ATHLETICS

"Last night the Viking Water Polo Team defeated Mercer Island 16-0 to improve to 9-0 on the season.  Haylee Davidson and the Viking defense earned the shutout with 12 saves on 12 attempts.  Emily van Zonneveld had 5 goals, 5 assists, 7 steals and three field blocks.  The girls are back at it again today as the Lady Viks head to Rogers for the Emerald Ridge Varsity Tournament."

Last night Fast Pitch - Curtis 9 - GK 3, Emily Bryant pitched a great game, with 7 strikeouts.  Rudi Reyes, Hannah Hernandez, and Alex Ginnis each had 2 hits.

The 2019 CHS Girls Swim & Dive team is hosting a short interest meeting in the pool classroom on May 9th, beginning at 2:15pm. All interested swimmers and divers are encouraged to attend!

Last night’s boy’s lacrosse games

JV - Played an excellent game keeping possession and patient on offense and exgressive on defense.  Winning the game 8 to 6

Varsity - The boys were asleep the first half going down 5 to 2 at half.  The third was better, but still ending down 7 to 3 (4 goals). The boys showed there heart and ability scoring 4 and holding Tahoma to 0 ending regulation 7 to 7.

OT - Layne did an amazing job at X and won the face off again.  Offense was moving and patient, but the ball did not fall.  The goalie made a great save sending the ball the other way.  After back and forth a couple more times, Tahoma had a break Curtis played good D but the attach rolled back shooting a screened shot getting past the goalie giving them the OT win.    A tough loss for the varsity but shows we need to play the entire game.
