Constitution & Bylaws



We, the students, for the promotion of good government, good sportsmanship, student activities, and the general welfare of the students of Curtis High School, establish this Constitution of the Environmental Club.

Article 1. Name of Organization

Section A. It is resolved that the name of this organization shall be the Environmental Club of Curtis Senior High School.

Article 2. Purpose

The purposes of this organization shall be to:

1.   To create a greener world.

2.   To achieve a cleaner environment.

Section B.

1.   To practice and teach coherent human and environmental interactions.

2.   To reduce, reuse, and recycle.

3.   To harness resources that would otherwise go to waste

Article 3. Membership

Section A. Membership in Environmental Club is established by Tess Goodnight.

Section B. Membership in Environmental Club is maintained by Tess Goodnight.

Article 4. Duties

Section A. Duties of Environmental Club

·        To create a cleaner environment.

·        To assist in the recycling practices.

·        To achieve success with natural resources, and a greener tomorrow.

·        To organize new ideas and opportunities.

·        To attend weekly club meetings.

·        To support environmentally safe practices.

·        To raise funds for bettering Curtis Senior High School.

Article 5. Eligibility

Section A. Eligibility of Environmental Club. All club members must have and maintain a cumulative 2.5 grade point average.

Section B. Requirements for all Environmental Club Members during their period of service shall be required to:

1.   Attend weekly meetings.

2.   Achieve green practices on school campus and community.

Article 6. Amendments

Section A. This constitution shall be amended by a two-thirds vote of the membership provided the members are eligible and active.
