REQUIRED Senior Survey!
To receive any state, federal, or institutional (grants, scholarships, tuition awards, work study, & loans), colleges and universities require the FAFSA or for individuals not eligible (WASFA) to be completed and finalized by the financial aid priority deadline each year for priority consideration. Students whose FAFSA completed after this date, awards will be subject to available funding. Some institutions may require a separate scholarship application.

Many college FAFSA due dates have priority deadlines, which means you need to submit your FAFSA form by that date to potentially receive the most money from the college. Many colleges have this date clearly marked on their financial aid webpages.
To determine the deadline for the Class of 2025 seniors planning to attend college in the Fall of 2025, you will need to go directly to the schools financial aid webpage, as many have changed this year to accommodate the new FAFSA release date.

TIPS FOR SEARCHING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS
The secret to success with scholarships is "never give up". We encourage students to take an hour a week to search for scholarships and apply to as many as possible.
Apply for the FAFSA or WAFSA as early as Dec 1 of your senior year.
Talk to your parents- Do they belong to any affiliations or memberships?
Talk to your school counselor & the CCRC.
Check the CCRC website & social media regularly.
Every college and university offers scholarships and financial aid. It is recommended you contact your favorite college or university early in your college planning.

Print all worksheets/applications and prepare a draft before completing online.
"Deadline" usually means the scholarship application is due at the individual scholarship office, NOT postmarked on deadline date.
Our staff is always available to meet with parents and students to help support students through this often long and arduous process but it can really pay off for those who are tenacious!
